As we set out to build a major new City to the north of Perth, the City of Wanneroo is proud to become part of Act-Belong-Commit.
It presents a unique opportunity for our residents to become involved in the myriad of attractions, events, sports, clubs and activities our fast-growing City has to offer.
The City of Wanneroo has for many years been among the top of Australia’s fastest growing regions – and currently holds the Number One spot as the fastest growing in our State.
In area, ours is a huge City - 685 square kilometres – stretching from Girrawheen to Two Rocks along 32 kilometres of pristine coast with large tracts of unspoiled bush and wetlands.
The years to come will see an explosion of new growth towards Alkimos, Yanchep and Two Rocks to the north and also inland to the east.
Our population is forecast to grow to more than 160,000 by next year – predominately young families with children and youth - but with a mix of seniors and retirees.
From the pioneer days, Community Spirit has always been very strong in Wanneroo and this new resource - Act-Belong-Commit - will offer residents both new and old a great opportunity to become even more involved in their community.
To name just a few, Wanneroo offers historic attractions, wonderful beaches, our City’s first class library and cultural centre, computer classes, bush walks, seniors and children’s groups, football and cricket clubs, fishing, surfing and sports and activities of all kinds.
Many are based at the City’s Aquamotion swimming and fitness centre and Kingsway Indoor Stadium - home of basketball, netball and many other sports.
